A kitty who doesn’t belong

A kitty who doesn’t belong

When I was a small kitty
I lived in a smoky city
People too busy to take pity
On a starving little kitty

Pests and rats
Same as cats
Beggar trash
So they’d thrash

Run, run, on all fours
A kitten’s never safe outdoors
Run, run, past all stores
Humans always lock their doors

From now on, I’ll be strong
I’ll be right when the world’s wrong
Even when I’ll never belong
I’ll keep meowing my lonely song

Run, run, far away
From the city, finally today
Run run, little stray
Find a new place to stay

Now, I’m a kitten no longer
Despite having grown stronger -
People are now kind
and don’t kick me
or leave me behind
no longer
They say “Such a good kitty”
With gentle eyes

Surely,
It must all be lies

I eat (high-quality) human meat

Headless body, what a treat!
Decapitated crying meat!
The mistresses scurry, their dresses...
