A Lesson

Don't ever forget your ghosts of past
Remember those faces well
Forgive them,  for  that life you shared
Though never forget it was hell

Learn from the pain, the hurt they caused
Those feelings so raw and cold
Betrayal, lies, secrets you heard
Hell had your heart in a hold

All that now, back there in that past
Will never return, it won't
Believe in your life, learn from mistakes
Don't be one of the few who don't
