A LONELY UMBRELLA

A LONELY UMBRELLA

You need me when you are damp and wet

For this I'm certain a cast iron bet

Sometimes you need me when it is hot

Like on a beach or beauty spot

When it is windy I cannot keep still

To beat off the gusts and icy chill

I have also appeared in drinks a cocktaiI I think

My most popular colours being orange or bright pink

I always go up and then come down

An essential part for that trip into town

I am neither a lady or a fella

I am my friends a sad lonely umbrella
