A Long Pretence
A Long Pretence
After all this time,
it has
only just dawned
on me
I was never really
any different
from all the rest
was I ..
And now, of course,
there is no us
is there ..
Not even barely
a trace ..
Nor is there any point
or use
either of us pretending
otherwise,
is there now darling .. x

Just a few words that you bring so alive with the message you wish to convey. Slightly aloof, a little bitter and so very matter of fact and mostly with a big...f.ck you in there somewhere. Love it Neville, you speak my kind of language but write it a zillion times better than I ever could x
