A Lost Memory In Time

A Lost Memory In Time

I’m sorry my fire was weak
Your tongue is swift as sand in the wind
It’s hard to breathe with concrete in your lungs
I wish you could see
What your words have done to me.

Running from hungry wolves on a mountain my eyes got blurry
I felt her shapeshifting fury
Painting her nails with my blood
Curling her hair with my bones
A succubus to the highest order.

You saw what you wanted in that old picture
I tell the truth with scorpions in hand
You grant wishes like a blind man in heat
Don’t forget that kiss we shared
It was easy to laugh when I was silent

Remember the fog that seeped in our castle?
It started to feed
I started to need
Love.
