Monsters Delight

Monsters Delight

A college girl’s ingenious kiss
The hippie’s world in colorful bliss
Falling from chocolate stars I swam through the air with courage and lust
I saw two killers engaged in folly
Smiles and bullets painted the sky
The trickster thinks his bag is heavy
Like my fists smashing shameful lies.

Let them come see
The visions of carnage and velvet I can play
That old candle was always yours you know
I used to start fires like a banshee spitting embers in the night
Times were good
Where I once stood
Chasing strangers by streetlight.

I miss the way monsters used to dance
The sun would tremble
Our claws were fast and able
Eating the skin of heroes with passion
You were my once great satisfaction.
