A Lover Not A Fighter

A Lover Not A Fighter

Now it's spiritual, I love you in my dreams,
on the misty slopes of heaven where nothing's as it seems,
we made our own plan as Chopin played a tune,
waved to you, as we travelled past the moon.

Remember when we didn't go out for a mission,
a perfect reason for love and self - isolation;
now they say: 'How can you stay together all day?'
Because we are formidable, a blend like Chardonnay.

We gave in to each other, in lovely evening light,
the noughts didn't matter because the crosses were alright,
There's the 'rub,' a peak is worth a million troughs,
a 'both' smile, childlike, as scent of favour wafts.

Even when you're gone, still here in sunshine and shadow,
I touch the space, pastel air, Da Vinci green and yellow.

Exceptional verses Terry. Love the references to Chopin and da Vinci. Some great lines:

......a blend like chardonnay...

the nights didnt matter because the crosses were right....

I enjoy reading your stuff ??

Being Me

I've pinned this because it is absolutely beautiful and I know I will want to read this again.

Even when you're gone, still here in sunshine and shadow,
I touch the space, pastel air, Da Vinci green and yellow.

Those lines are just gorgeous!Β

A well written poem that instils in the reader, a feeling of warmth and that true love never dies. Fantastic ? x
