A modern romance

I looked at her, she looked at me, I knew right then we were meant to be.
I took a chance, asked for a dance, this was the start of our romance.
We drank all night, and to my delight she would not take me out of her sight.
I walked her home we were alone, but then I fell upon a stone.
Flat on my face, a drunken disgrace, she looked at me and said your not to my taste.
I'm lying there and to my despair, I'd landed on a rotten pear.
I jumped up quick, which made me sick, I'm going home that'll do the trick.
Β I've lost my phone so I'm walking home, no taxi to ring and on my own.
And on the way I'll have a pray and talk to god and he will say.
What's meant to be will definitely be, the future is not ours to see, you tried your best now have a rest and finding your phone will be a test. ππ
