A mother's prayer

A mother's prayer

Lord give me the patience
..... not to shout
Nor to hold my head
..... and scream out loud

Let me get through one more day
And let me have time
To sit and play

Don't let them bicker
Or get into trouble
Make me have time
To sit and cuddle

Don't let them fall
And scrape there knee
And an hours peace
And serenity

Would be nice
If time allowed
And let them
Make me oh so proud

This is a mother's prayer
Every day
As she struggles to manage
Work rest and play
