Poem -

A NANAS HEART

Overspilled with love
My lonely heart
To hear your faltered
Stops and starts
Singing loud
Your Xmas hymns
Though miles
We are apart

Sweet child of three
Such a gift to me
From heavens loving arms
Hollybelle
My heart does swell
Bound tight within
Your young girl spell

And know
Though miles
We are apart
Here beats for you
A Nana's heart
Always.

My Dear Marion,

Such a lovely touching tribute to your little granddaughter.

Because she lives so far away
My granddaughter called the other day
She sang my Christmas carols o'er the phone
I love her so, and I am ne'er alone

All my love,
Larry xxx

Awe...you are so good at these little verses that often express the sentiments better than the original poem ...lol...it was the innocence and unabashed pride of a three year old spirit thrilled to be singing ( new) songs about Xmas that did it ....( She had discovered something clearly none of us knew existed ...lol) blessings lovely man ?
