A ONCE FINE BUILDING

I thought that it would always be there for sure
Can't believe that it isn't gone and no more
A once fine building in the middle of my townĀ
No longer there and so sadly pulled downĀ

I think of the memories that building gave meĀ
Now just an eyesore for the rest of town to see
The future generation won't know it was thereĀ
Not that they will bothered or really seem to careĀ

Who was the person that decided it should go
Do they sleep at night is what I'd like to knowĀ
I guess it will be replaced by a fast food chainĀ
Be always in my heart and forever remain
