A Picture Within A Picture 💕

I can envisage the artist with her palette, she is smiling back at me

How perfectly she holds her brushes, as she subtly shades in the sails

Painting pretty coloured fishes with their scaley fins and tails

As she sketches her splendid ships, I watch her clever creativity

How talented is her skills, inventing such amazing artistry 

My perception of perceiving actually gives me the chills

I imagine myself inside her art, she fills me with wondrous thrills

Would she paint me with ‘air and grace?’ Oh how I imagine it so

If all my age-lines were not on my face, I would love this you know

As I leave this master piece, I whisper words of glee
