A PIECE OF PAPER

You rushed out dropping a piece of paper on the floor
Was it an important piece I'm not really sure
I picked it up from the floor and started to read
Still unsure of where this paper might lead

I couldn't believe my eyes at what I had seen
The paper was a ransom note from a person who's mean
The kidnappers wanted money almost straight away
For me this was turning into a nightmare day

How this story ends I'm really not so sure
The person who dropped the paper rushed out the door
I hope and pray it ended on a positive outcome
The kidnappers certainly wanted a tidy sum
