A PLASTIC PADDY

From Dublin to Donegal from Sligo to Clare
Irishmen are full of Paddies and don't seem to care
However one man named Mick stood out from the crowd
He wasn't a Paddy and wasn't allowed

His mates called him plastic Paddy a wannabe
Mick wasn't bothered that's plain to see
To be different from the rest takes courage to be sure
Being unique is like an apple with no core

Mick tried to fit in and blend with the rest
I'm sorry to report but he failed this test
So he was on his own but got through his life
Don't start me on Mary his charming old wife
