A poet for you

I'm a poet for you
Fight fires in the summer for you
Built a home with bare hands

To house you

A band-aid on a scrapped knee

Because you've fallen

A seatbelt in a car that's stolen.

For you I fly high like a sea eagle

Migrate to warmer waters

For you like a seal

Incubate the eggs in a nest

While you figure out what's next

A sunrise for your dawn

As you wait to cease the day.

I'm the love in your home cooked dinner

The candle that's snuffed out after

The clean sheets

In a bed for your body to relax in

A gold ring on your finger.

I'm the copy

Of your favourite magazine

The exercise bike you avoid

Being in love with

I'm me. I'm all you ever needed.

Hello Rory...

I often wondered why Diamonds never really impressed me...

Then it hit me like a Ton of Bricks as I was researching how the New Jerusalem is built and remembering about all the different Gemstones  used to build it...

There's 12 to be exact...

In God's house there are many Mansions...

Each one custom built...

Showing us all of our hopes and dreams were taken into account...

Not one of them has a Diamond within the build...

Have you ever noticed that?

Which led me to another Story of a Woman who at the time of engagement he knew Pink Sapphires were her favorite...

Of course, she said she said YES...

They've been happily married for over 40 years at the time she wrote about it...

Wishing you Love Happily Ever After...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Rory, this is very emotional. A very special & unique love story,
which is everyone's dream.

Dead right, Rory. You are spreading rose petals on her path
and removing all the thorns that may accidentally fall. Who doesn’t like to be treated like that?
