the intrepid dance With mortality.
I never wished this strife,
To burden you,
my muse,
my compass for life.

You,
who keep me tethered when despair calls,
Whose love is a lighthouse on tempest-tossed walls.
Your children,
too—they bear this weight,
Yet find solace in your arms,
their safe haven,
their fate.

My Three boys,
Added too.
All of them a constellation of dreams,
Their laughter echoing through our entwined seams.

To paint their skies with hues of love anew.
