A Quaint Little Town

A Quaint Little Town

                A Quaint little town

 Lights camera action

The scene is set to go

The music is dramatic

The film I don’t know

The review said scary

Edge of your chair

A nail biting thriller

You better beware

As usual

 it starts off good

A quaint little town

A nice neighbourhood

Nothing ever happens here

To reach the headline news

Until that fatal day in June

A bloody pair of shoes

The shoes were lying in a field

With torn clothes all around

A shallow grave was dug near by

Where the body would be found

A frantic call to sheriff john

Was made in desperation

Young Julie was not in her bed

We had a situation

Last seen in town

Leaving work late

She took the short cut home

Had she met her fate

Sheriff John rounded up a team

To search the woods and fields

The sniffer dogs

Were given the scent

And tried to find some leads

It was not long before they found

The torn up clothes and shoes

These belonged to Julie

They were vital clues

Her body lay there in the ditch

Battered and face down

Who had done this awful deed

In this quaint and quiet town

An investigation was on the way

More clues needed to be found

And there it was a large foot print

Embedded in the ground

They all spread out to comb the fields

The evidence was vast

Clues were all around them

Nothing had been passed

The foot prints lead them

to a path

At the end there was a cabin

Could the person be hiding out

The one that did the stabbing

Armed with guns

They sneaked towards the door

Prepared for attack

Prepared for a war

The cabin was empty

The stench was bad

Whoever had been here

Was crazy and mad

There were arms and legs

And other body parts

In glass jars round the room

Flies were buzzing everywhere

These grizzly sites would loom

Sherriff John and his men

Went outside for some air

They could not believe

The site they saw

It was all too much to baire

A plan was needed to catch the fiend

And bring him in for trial

They would have to stake the cabin out

This could take a while

Night time came

All was quiet

Till all hell broke loose

Just like a bloody riot

The killer had a gun

He was about to use

But this was a battle

He would surely loose

One man sneaked behind

And bashed him on the head

The killer fell to the ground

As though he was dead

He was just out cold

So the cuffs went on

He was lead away

The people’s fears were gone

Headline news for this quaint little town

The killer has been caught

And he’s going down.
