~ A QUIXOTIC THOUGHT ~

~ A QUIXOTIC THOUGHT ~

There are a number of intricate possibilities
Invading my cranium
A moving vision of volatile perceptions
Like decaying geraniums

Like a temple garden of elusive, blooming,
Ideas and absurdities
Creating fluidity inside of me, like a thesaurus
Herding each word in me

Explosions, of images and graphic new languages
Speaking nonsensically
But making perfection of each new reflection
In memories and destinies

While coming to conclusive opinions concerning
Atrocious abnormalities...

With irreverent sermons from preachers,
And priests and saints
Who pray on the front steps of government buildings
And holdings and restraints

Tackling the issues of future events and
Possible predictions
Itching to take their time losing, and scratching
Their convictions,
Into the parchment............which are the walls
That turn the mind
Quixotic,
And really,
Say nothing at all...

Powerful and well written stuff here Tony and what a read to take in and perhaps change places with what many world-wide endure every minute of the day.
It reads for me like a loop, an eternal trap inside one's mind, a mental maze there is no escape from or any safe harbour to rest up. A constant storm battering down with the daily grind mediocrities of life guiding it.
Potent and powerful poetry of which there are no easy or cooling mindful answers.
Full marks and respectfully given and hats off to you for taking on a difficult theme most would shun away from.
Stay well and thank you for sharing one to make reader's stop and think, take stock of their stock of their lives and their sense of being.

Hi Tony, this is a cleverly penned piece my friend. Truly you have gone above and beyond here. You could say this is a tribute to a character called Don Quixotic where this words comes from. What a character he was. Your words ooze his turmoil and confusion. He is said to of often become so deluded, that he even tried to battle windmills because he thought them to be giants. But most of what he did was in what he thought the best interests of others. Even though it was actually dangerous. You paint the busy mind perfectly. Mental health is so complex, and you get a real sense of its torture for the person trapped within it. Wonderfully powerful and moving piece. Just showcases your talent for the written word 👏 👏👌⭐

Hello GWEN!!....you are SO right...and....you're the ONLY person to pick up on the Don QUIXOTE angle running through the entirety of this piece....it IS where the word QUIXOTIC was first created from......but then why I am I not surprised that you picked up on that....could it be that you love poetry so much that you actually dig deep!!??......lol......you are awesome girlfriend....and a pleasure to speak with too......looking forward to chatting again some time......Lots of Love!......T xo  : )
