A Recycled Lover
Amongst the grassland three weeks later,
You threw a bottle upon the sodden earth.
Sepia blazes of ashen trees fallen,
Swallowed her smile and she cursed
Ā Hazelnut eyes too acorn for the oak. The squirrel ran,
Up the fingers and barked up the same leaf.
You lost itās tail in the shrubs of cola cans,
You need to cover the nettle or it will prick too deep?
I lost the note you gave me in November,
Telling me āwe mate for lifeā.
But I guess when you were talking about swans,
A finch came to mind?
Its fine. I will continue to look at the stars that burn,
So dimly in the nights light
But know she will always look at you with all the,
Empty fuel left to ignite.Ā
A virtue is a Finch staying at one home,
But a virtue is a story once
that will never be untold.Ā
A virtue is a comprehension of your nettle being grown,
But a virtue is a squirrel twice that can learn to recycle love.
