A RITUAL EMBRACE

Many gather in the temple's hallowed space,
To offer prayers, a ritual embrace.
Seeking solace, power, a brighter light,
A festival of hope, a joyous sight.

Yet beneath the surface, a world unseen,
Hearts burdened by sorrow, a mournful scene.
While crackers burst and laughter fills the air,
Some carry burdens heavy to bear.

True joy, it seems, is fleeting and rare,
A fragile flower, easily torn.
For amidst the splendor, the darkness remains,
A constant reminder of life's pains.

Though hope endures, a flicker in the night,
We must remember, even in the brightest light,
There are shadows lurking, waiting to be seen,
And true joy lies in compassion and serene.
