A Seed of Love

A Seed of Love
His life is a picture in a frame
Living in a town with no name
Feels all his good days passed him by
He sits alone at night and silently cries
He used live his life as number one
But now he’s missed the starting gun
Love still remains just a mystery
Will his loneliness go down in history?
Ever lonely days lead to endless nights
How he wishes like a bird he could take flight
Loneliness has crept like a weed upon his walls
The ghosts of the past haunt his lonely halls
He stares at himself in an old photograph
A return to his glory days it takes him back
He wants to morning sun to raise him up
These years have been torturous and tough
He wishes the burning stars would put him to bed
And dreams of grandeur fill his lonesome head
On his endless search for the special someone
The fates often leave him feeling cold and numb
For in this uncertain life he just wants to live
Knowing that his blessed heart has so much to give
Within the starlit skies he searches high and low
He has got a seed of love that he hopes will grow
He can’t help feel his whole sad life is a mess
But he’s not ready to walk the shadows of death
He does not want to walk the earth forever lonely
He is on an endless search for his one and only
Until he the day he reaches that mansion in the sky
He will search for love until the day that he dies

Hey, Gary.
Good mono-rhyme scheme presented in rhymed couplets all throughout your poem.
There is also some inventive slant rhyme pairings as well scattered about, such as photograph/back, up/tough, someone/numb, and sky/dies.
Time flies by so quickly, doesn't it?
It seems we look in the mirror at our reflection one day and almost overnight when we look again we find a complete stranger staring back at us.
Life will either make or break you.
No doubt about it.
Well done, and thanks for sharing.
