A Sparrow's Rest

A Sparrow's Rest

Cherish these days of youthly splendor.
Don't waste your time on worldly pleasure.
Wander the meadows with clean bare-feet.
Eat blueberries from the bush and hear the birds sing notes of new retreat.
Let your hand graze the wolf's thick silky fur.
Let your shoulders carry a sparrows rest.
Know that in your heart, you'll never grow tired.
But take a nap and dream away all your sorrow that passer-by's seem to let you borrow.
Take my hand, child of a hard heart.
Free your misery upon the ocean below.
Hear the song of the eagle whispering by and let your heart ride it's wing.Β
