A Spirited Ember

A Spirited Ember

To question thy own existence
Tis be happenstance
Or merely replication?

A belonging, I do not feel
For your presence be faint;
As the rolling fog
Falls unto the ground.

Why must thou separateth
From thee?

For only human, am I
As you made me to be.

A spirited ember
That barely shedeth warmth
Tis only enough not to wither
Unto the coldness of death.
