Homeless

Homeless

Upon the sands,
I summon sleep
As waves crash loudly
Beneath my feet.

Stars illuminateĀ
Above my head,
Where dreams of desire
Are all but dead.

Alone I shiver,
In the depth of night;
I weep, for answers
Ne'er within sight.

The salty air
That fills my lungs,
Feel empty; abandoned
—Hopeless: Unsung.

Tomorrow not promised,
And further away.
For God, be forsaken:
And redemption, I pray.
