A Star Burned Out Tonight

Shes leaving the City Tonight

And I can see it in her eyes 

Shes left her dreams 

And the Broadway lights behind 

By the smoke of a tailpipe 

Shes headed for Hawaii 

And I hear its nice this time of year 

Getting her last shot at redemption 

But it's not for everyone 

At least thats what I hear 

She cant hide the scars anymore

Under the make up beneath

It took everything I had

To convince her not to leave

Shes giving up the fight

The curtains have closed

The champagne on ice
