A STORY

A STORY

Hey Grandpa, have you a story
That you could tell to me
Yes, my memories and experiences
I can give to you for free

Of far off lands and suffering
And the things I had to see
Of war and pain and loss
And why I had to flee

Of finding love and marriage
And of starting family
Of joy and wondrous births
And how, you came to be

Why you're the reason I exist
And what you mean to me
How you became, the best of life
And how you are the key

To my existence, once I pass
Each time, you think of me
