Poem -

A STRANGER IN TOWN

He was a stranger in a strange place
As he put a cigarette to his face
The wind and rain was lashing down
Who he could trust in this war torn town ?

The clothes that he wore were scruffy and unkept
He cannot remember the last time that he slept
The local people would kill him at first sight
He had to escape this town tonight

By skill and good fortune he made it to the station
He boarded a train for an unknown destination
A thought occurred to him whilst on the train
He would never set foot in this strange town again
