A Sudden Loss

You have left my life so suddenly,
And my heart broke clean in half,
I had never imagined you'd leave me,
All alone on this dark lonely path.
I will make you proud of me baby,
As I rebuild our family home,
I couldn't bring myself to forgiveness,
Because in our room you were all alone.
All my children made me very proud,
As they gathered to comfort their Mum,
They all left their problems out the gate,
And for you pulled together as one.
They have stayed with me in our home,
And so helped me get over your loss,
Made our home come alive with love,
And our respect for each other came across.
Even though it was a sad bitter time,
I gave you your last dying wish,
Nice and personal just as you wanted,
One by one we sent you off with a KISS.
