How times have changed..

The adults in the world today, 
Have changed so much overtime.
I clearly remember when my parents were here, 
How as kids we would all toe the line. 
We all done things we are not so proud of,
Like got real drunk, Or tried some drugs. 
The difference between then and now,
Now for a Punishment you get some hugs. 
I can tell you now, back in the day, 
Our Parents and Guardians were so strict. 
They had good control of their children, 
All us kids back then learnt respect. 
We would play outside till the street lights came on,
And we would all head back to our homes. 
Have our dinner and get ready for bed,
Do our chores and eat ice cream cones.
As kids we did what we were told, 
Or the consequences could really hurt. 
We never had the technology then,
But were happy to play in the dirt.
