A theory on Love

One thing I've learnt about love is that there's no winning,
There's no winning because it's not a competition.
It's not about who loves who more, or who shows it the best,
You can't express love through material things,
Sometimes you can't even express love through words.
Love isn't something we glorify and put on a shelf,
It's not a big house we decorate with lavish jewels,
And compare it to the neighbours on your block.
It's not about who appears to be the most in love,
Or who has the most envious possessions.
Love is simply love, whether you're in love, loved, or giving love.
It's selflessly surrendering to the fact that there are no limits, no boundaries, no comparison.
That to love, is to sacrifice, and to sacrifice is putting something before yourself.
So in the grand scale of things you aren't winning, but rather you're losing; losing a piece of yourself to gain something far more valuable.

The fish of the sea

I love the reflection tone, sets a stage for the message you are trying to convey. And what a message it is! So very true and emotion packed. Really enjoyed this one Taylor. Peace to you. Smiles. TFOTS
