Poem -

A THOUSAND MILLION STARS

You are released
Glory be
The glowing spark of you
Set free
Be free

You are
A thousand million atoms
Streaked across the sky
I watch you fly
I do not cry

I will not cry

You are not lost
It is a lie
Just on your way
To cross
A thousand million stars
To better day

I feel your peace
You did not die
Just glad realease
Just short goodbye
I shall not cry

I will not cry

Glory be.

Hi Marion....Death is not the end...just a doorway...but it is so hard to say goodbye to those that have crossed it...I lost a good friend two years ago to a sudden heart attack and I still am in shock and do not know how to say goodbye....But to think of death as a release of suffering helps to accept that there is more to this life than meets the eye.  Thank you for sharing your view of faith... I enjoyed. xo :)

Hi Cherie, I truly sympathise, I lost my best friend 6 years ago and several  loved ones previous to that and I certainly did not feel like this. Grief can make you very ill and lost. (It was grief that inspired me to write poetry)...i have no conventional faith but time has taught me the existence of...( No words here) ...other, a higher power, whatever. My friend is still with me in ways I can't explain and I suppose I am more...aware?? to mood, atmosphere and I believe...we do not die. I sound mad, some days I am...lol. I'm just exploring the peace of acceptance that time brings. And this piece is about when someone who has reached an unacceptable level of suffering passes peacefully. I hope you can find peace eventually...2 years is a very short time, hugs 💕
