A poem about a tree and me

You are a eucalyptus, high in the sky and mighty.
Sturdy to the very taproot you shoot up out of earth from;

Though you may sway. Today has me locked minds

   with you.

My rehearsal of this does not prepare me.

The sea eagle passes the blue light in my sights,

A helicopter where the bird had been one day before,

A soaring mass.

How are your branches so jut out and your body not arched,

As mine is?

The Blue Gum is foreign to our country. We are still fond of them also. Nice Verse.

There is something truly charming about the eucalyptus tree, it has soothing powers and it's a magnificent sight to see, love this imagery and reflection. 🌹
