A TRIP TO NOWHERE

My spirit failsÂ
Fear prevailsÂ
In dust I make my bed
My mind is a sone
I'm all alone
Empty are the thoughtsÂ
In my headÂ
My tongue cleaves
To the roof of my mouthÂ
I sought for wordsÂ
But they were notÂ
I am on a cloudÂ
Made of sand
Sailing to my life's end
And hallucination is my friendÂ
When you called my nameÂ
I should of turned a deaf earÂ
But you lured meÂ
With the chance of forgetting my pastÂ
I inhaled you.. I smoked you
You took me on a trip
But the journey was too shortÂ
And the high did not last.

A quick fix...a lifelong habit...a world of regret...felt it all in your words x
Hey Marion..
its the way of life for so many people in my neighborhood..
it saddens my heart to see so many young men and women
on a trip.. but going nowhere.
I wrote what came to mind.
Thanks for your comment.
Take care .
