A very merry mission 🎅🏼

T’was the night before Christmas when everything was so still, only a lonesome barn owl shrieked his screechy shrill..as he sat on a branched bough foraging for food, some small scuttling creatures to nourish his hungry brood..

And then a strange silhoutte he excitedly espied, it was a robust, red-nosed reindeer with a sleigh by his side..bursting at the brim full of wrapped presents and colourful toys to deliver all through that chilly night for pretty little girls and boisterous boys..And another snowy shadow suddenly appeared on the wonderful white snow as it jumped down from a rooftop with a happy “Ho Ho Ho” “Tu-whit-tu-whoo” as the barn owl opened his pointy jaws, “I do bid you a very goodnight Mr. Santa Claus”

Then without any further warning and hastened ado, this majestic barn owl spread his wide wings and flew away through the falling snow..Of course old Santa Claus climbed onto his sleigh coz he was on a very merry mission, as Rudolph the reindeer pulled on these reins and led the way with a determined precision..Off into the darkness with flickers from the street lights, high across the top of rooftops as children dreamt their delights..
