A Very Sad Day

I lost my grandmother to cancer 

That was a very sad day

The family came from all across the USA

Asking God, "Why did she leave ?"

We guessed it was her time 

We said as we pleaded

I never expected it to be so soon

I looked outside the window, watching the rain fall

Lord knows how much I miss her

From here to the moon 

When I sit alone, I think about her

While listening to some tunes

You're not supposed to question

God, but I always ask why

Why did my beautiful angel fly so high?
