A VERY VERY HOT MEAL

When it comes to food I will try most things
All dishes of the world from curry to chicken wings
I don't care if the dish is very hot or cold
Try it once and let my tastebuds take hold

Last night my mouth felt like it was on fire
A new curry to devour and greatly admire
I looked on the menu and it came with a warning
You won't be able to feel your mouth next morning

Surely I thought no spices could be that hot
So I ordered that curry right there on the spot
The waiter shook his head and said to me
"Are you sure sir you want number fifty three ?"

I was unmoved and would not change my mind
Thanked the waiter for being considerate and kind
The meal arrived to me about twenty minutes later
One mouthful and how I wished I listened to the waiter

Not sure if it was a pepper or perhaps a chilli
Extremely hot and I was behaving rather silly
My mouth was I think ready to explode
I will never forget this eating out episode
