A Violet Vibrant Twist

As the twist in the vibrant
Sounds of familiar threads
Coursed through the rooms of familiar memories
Memories of music moving through
The seventies and eighties
Suddenly congealed
And took me back
To the fumbling fingers
And the women who used to be
So damn important
So mesmerizing
In their inappropriate attire
Like the shining of hope
Of what life may have to offer
May bless me with one day
May stand up and take my breath away
Leaving me writhing on the floor
And knocking on the door
To the room's vibrant twist
With the smells of sweat and beer
Leaving a perfectly clear
Violet vision
Of a vibrant twist
From the old jukebox
Those long-lasting smells from the dive bar
Could set a soul on fire
And bring a man to his knees
Deep within the memories
Of a vibrant violet twist
From the music of days gone by
And the idea of remaining
Deep within
Those incredibly reflective
Recollections
That help me recall the smile
That first created
My passion for words and music
Which today
I willingly refer today
As,
A vibrant,
Violet,
Twist.....

"Deep within the memories

Just as I told Cherie only moments ago, Tony, one does not acquire over seven hundred followers...anywhere! ...for no reason at all.
Only through hard work and exceptional writing is such an accomplishment possible.
Now, I am not at all sure what a "VIP" status means here at Cosmo. But I'll wager it has something altogether to do with the aforementioned positive traits I pointed out.
Believe it or not, even though I was a child of seventies and eighties, I was never into Disco. While all my friends were hitting on girls at the discotheques and skating rinks, I was wearing boot cut blue jeans, leather jackets, and white t-shirts while playing my saxophone in a rock band called buZZSAww.
Excellent write, my friend...
~Dean :)
Hey DEAN!!....thanx so much for this!!......VERY kind of you man!!..... actually.....I was never into Disco either..... and much like yourself I was in a Heavy Metal Band called 'Rude Awakening' touring the States for a while until I started my own band where we did alternative folk rock 90% of which I wrote...... It's what I still do today..... songwriting that is!!....... so cool of you to share this .........I love talking music!!....... stay groovy brother!!........ later.......T xo
You're very welcome.
Later, "T"!

My Dear Brother Poet Tony,
The place where lonely Souls would meet
Dancing partner, them to greet
The music from a great rock band
The promise of a one night stand
.
The morning next, when they awake
Each others numbers they both take
But the scraps of paper soon disappear
Twas only lust, not love endeared
Peace, Love, and Forevers,
Larry xxx
