A 'Vision' of Santa!

A 'Vision' of Santa!

Stars , Stardust and illusion intermingle
and in among them bells on a sleigh do jingle
A child's eye searches to the sky
looking to see if Reindeers really do fly

The Sky is clear and moonlit bright
expectation is high of a Xmas card sight
Roofs and paths a sprinkled in snow
Santa's prime time now to show

All at once a Sky in transpose
and through the air faint Ho Ho Ho's
Through tired eyes a child can see
a vision in their minds eye there to be

Then down at Earth in bedroom dark
a sister listening for Santa's arrival hark
buzzing and too excited to sleep
so at the main man hope to sneak a peep

With imagination swelling in expanse
sleepiness overtakes when hoping for a glance
What's that thud upon the roof?
is it really the sound of Rudolph's hoof?

Two little ones with a beguiled vision
to spy real Santa an expedition
Toy sacks hung in wished for presents
hoping Santa's read the letters they sent

Then in a blink morning's dawned
squeals at the toys the night has spawned
Eyes a wonder at all to be seen
Yet again magically Santa has been
