A Wedding Of Soulmates

A Wedding Of Soulmates

Descend slowly from heaven-high,
In elegant, measured swan dives,
With the Muses and let the Light
Fall on me. I refuse to die.
With you finally by my side,
Tenderly, I embrace the pure Light
That defies all known reasons why.
I hear the angels' joyous cries,
And I perceive the gods so old and wise,
Judging events from freedom's skies
Before now, I was deaf and blind,
Your eyes are filled with warm surprise.
Clad yourself in flowery designs,
Until dark fears are out of sight.
Tonight, the stars are shining bright.
The wind is still. Flashing moments are right,
For mortal Love to reach the divine.
Summer's fair queen, now be my bride.
O we were made for sweet delight,
Not for the trials of dreadful times!
