A Wish Too Far!

A Wish Too Far!

On wisps of tomorrow your essence awaits
with candy floss promise
and a primal yearning
The sand of my hourglass
falling fastΒ
depleting yet preciousΒ
times of our knowingΒ
less of bonding in growingΒ
Flakes of my heart disperseΒ
like confetti blowing in the wind of chance
or imagined fate
Impatience a constant penance
for selfish wicked wants
And Β still I look for you
like a yet to be unseen Star
With silent festering fear
that you'll become forever
A Wish too far!
