Poem -

A writer draws a blank

Simple things,
Life in rhyme, taking time,

In a day,
Without beaches or places with castles,
With thoughts of the past,

Moments of silence and respite,
Coffee and warmth,
Memories that less warn but inform,

Thoughts, deep thoughts,
Blank staring looks,
Pause without interruption.

You're less a being,
No physical form,
Direction unknown,

When you've nothing to say,
yet, want to say something,
whether, informed or speculative,

Is it just to simply spout?.
Make opinion without foundation ?
Or simply just enjoy the silence.

We're truly just animals,
Needing space, understanding,
Times is a construct thats way too demanding.
