Aaaah the Countryside?

Looking out of my morning dewed glass window
What do I see ?
A chaffinch, robin & blue tit chirping just for me

They are probably thankful
For the feeders on the ledge
So handy & near
For their nests in our hedge

Just beyond that
Are lucious green grassy fields
I see the farmer on his tractor
Ploughing a paddock for his yields

All night long Farmer Dan is out
Cultivating his land & spreading corn all about

His tractor chugs up & down
Following furrows on the ground
He climbs out of his cab
Removing stones that he has found

Living in the countryside
Is a wonderful blessing
I’d be like a ‘fish out of water’
In the city I am guessing

Whilst being so tranquil
There is an abundance of space
Compared to city life
Vastly calmer in pace

So I know I am fortunate
& Oh so lucky
Though I always need my welly boots
Coz the ground can get mucky

You see we own many varieties of duck
They congregate in our garden
Producing large quantities of muck ??
