Absence
When the world is only keen on conducting torture,
I come to understand what will always be horrible !
Time is interested in observing all that I can endure,
As your absence tests defiance of what is so painful.

Being without you is almost more than I should bear,
Because this soul learnt to depend on your presence !
Your loving, sharing way is constantly required here.
Without you, how is it possible to enjoy an existence !

Being alone does not make the heart grow any fonder,
With it appreciating everything that is cruelly missing !
All I can do is try to survive relying on steely character,
With a void making truly difficult the act of breathing !

The heart is a lonely hunter
When left alone to pain endure
With the "Absence" of its former mate
Who closed the final door
The heartache comes each day and night
Love's atrophy so hard to bear
As I choke on beloved memories
