ABSTRACT ON A WINTERS DAZE
1980s love affair
Winter dressed in my lovers
old clothes
ice-cold scent
in frozen folds
nowhere is hiding on the weakest branch
how winter can chill
how winter kills
lonely disturbed pillowcase
empty from a vacant face
dreaming man
dreaming so sad
winter has come
into this bed
Silent hymns scratched on a face
sharp steel in an empty embrace
times a problem
each in a jar
turned upside down
viewed from afar
She brought me a pose
set in autumns glow
now winter creases at the glass
darkest sacred nights parade
lost in that decision winter forgave
priests gather the virgin page
laid before in spread and rage
electronic music loves the grave
drugs slay in the que
as winter
chooses
and i lose
