Ache

How have we loved freely: our souls flooded with love?
We struggle flesh, and grapple faith. [Selah] I’ve witnessed
Bleeding walls, screeching dreams, the woo of death, and
Terror screams. [Selah] Our phantoms, breach the
Light, to chase the past, a future smite. How have we
Loved freely: our souls flooded with love? [Selah]We
Trek the vision, alive the Ghost, and fall the void, the wings
Of grief. The darkest love, the tint of joy—our booklet, a
Bleeding soul. Such venom, a witless hate, and desperate
Love, the tears of rust. [Selah] How have we loved freely:
Our souls flooded with love?  We perish sight, a motive
Harsh, aloof to fair, and living dark. Indeed, the heart, a
Secret cave, a touch of sin, a crooked frame. And portrait
Lies, the grounds of love, a pond of ghosts, an attic flood.
