ACID TEARS

Tears like acid drops drip from her face
Burning; corroding all thoughts of embrace
A half weakened smile from her blood cherry lips
The vodka laced coffee; she blows on, then sips
All meaning is lost and all thoughts have now left
Of her lover; her armour; a feeling bereft
As her hair tumbles down like waves of emotion
And her brown chocolate eyes start to melt with devotion
To a long distant memory; a place thatâs now lost
A land of fantasia which she left to her cost ...
With a jolt she looks up as he catches her eye
A strong scented figure that floated on by
The sight of his silhouette captures her mind
An outline of strength sheâs now curious to find
Turning the corner from a battered old door
Strolling on out with a half wasted whore
He helps her depart then returns back inside
Her joy and excitement she can no longer hide
She throws back her hair and her eyes fill with dew
Is it him? Â Could it be? Oh my god is it you?
She tousles her hair as he saunters towards her
Like a cat with the cream as she starts to now purr
His face was a picture; not one she had painted
The temperature dropped, ice cold, nearly fainted
He looked hot and so needing, though his desire was gone
She had killed him and crushed him; sheâs no longer the one
Who would keep his heart warm and his body enthralled
He looked at her briefly, âtil the barman then called
Her acid filled tears had burnt him before
Now the only escape was to walk out the door ........

Rachel this touched me, many people don't appreciate what they have till its gone and too late, I particularly liked these lines
"He looked hot and so needing, though his desire was gone
She had killed him and crushed him; sheâs no longer the one"
Great poem 5*s from me X:)
