Adventures In Paradise

My Junior and Senior years in high school, I had a favorite show;
It took place in beautiful Tahiti, to there I dreamed I’d go!
It was called “Adventures In Paradise, it’s star was Gardner McKay;
He had a vessel named the Tiki, that people would charter for many days!

I thought after I graduated, I could buy a big boat too;
Then sail off to the South Seas, and find love so very true!
I fantasized about a beautiful Tahitian, with hair down to her knees;
Who would become my loving Soulmate, and we’d sail across the seas!

I even went to a large boat show, checking out the possibilities;
Of shoving off for Tahiti, and doing whatever I damn well pleased!
But eventually, my pipe dream ended, no Paul Gaugin would I become;
It was off to College of the Hard Knocks, for a life much more hum-drum!
