Mimi

Mimi

I have always
been
afraid to
write about
you
as nothing
I created
could
express
how
I feel

From
the
minute
you
bore
me
A protective
shield
was
placed
around
me

insuring
that
predators
would
not
consume
what
they
perceived
as
weak

I think
intuition
though
told
you
to nurture,
guide
and
believe
in
what you
had
created

Gladiators
evolve
from
the
"runt"

You
are

strong
woman

You made
something
out
of
nothing

Your children
adore
you

We
learned
what it
meant
to
be strong
from
a gentle
voice
that
we
identify
as
"Mimi"
