An African Hero

As a nation closed it's eyes two by two to sleep,
A Hero closed his eyes for the very last time this eve,
A Man of great value, determination,faith and above all humility,
Whom with many strived for equal rights,regardless of skin colour or creed,
His legacy will forever remain in the hearts and minds of every South African citizen as we all remember his name,
Madiba;Tata;Nelson Mandela just some of the names he came to be known,now lost on earth but founded up in Heaven,
A place where Heroes and Heroines retreat after their long journey on earth has drawn to a close,
Many of us should be proud to say we lived along side someone so brave,whom with many freed this land from the chains of inequality,
We shared a country with someone of such sheer boldness and undying courage,
Today we lost a hero;a father and friend,
Many might disagree with his ways and many acomplishments,
But we not here for any of that we here to pay our respects to a Great Man,whom has made his mark on our dear land,
His Iconic speeches and fist risen photographs will cover our minds and pages for decades from here,
He like so many fought for the struggle kept the truth and persevered their cause to strive for even many more through the years,
His time on earth is well documented and will trace history and books for years and years,
A pebble represents him well,
As he splashed in the pool of humanity and the ripples are still evident to this very today,
Like the Limpopo river he flowed through the valleys of South Africa and brought a wealth of opportunities to many a people
And like the many majestic scenes scaped throughout our land,he'll stand like many,an Icon and something of great power which represents;
As The wind which runs through the plains, undying his voice will be carried on it through the streets,fields and even abroad,
So Good Day Tata and I trust you had the time of your life,
As it is said Heaven awaits on all of us,
But only GOD has the power to call us home when it is right,
Remember you passed on on earth,but your eternal life in Heaven has just begun,
God bless your family;friends and followers,throughout the world around.
