We left the hospital-moments later got called right back,
You left earth for a departure up into heaven,
I stared at your body in disbelief wrapped up in linen,
I inched close;eyes down watered for you Ouma,
Reached down for your hand,icy cold once warm with love,
Body of an Angel now lies empty and still,
Unrecognizable to many whom didn't know her like that,
Ouma you are gone but you will forever be in our memories,
The tears we cried for you came from broken hearts of family and friends,
I trust we'll meet one day again,
At the pearly gates and I'll reach for your hands,
And feel the warmth of love I remember in them,
